Our Mission
Orphaned Wildlife Rescue Center is one of the only rehabilitation facilities equipped to rescue wildlife in the Chesapeake Bay area. Founded by R.G. Wexler in 1990, we have saved over 20,000 animals since. Operating under a strict "no-kill" policy, we do all that we can to save any creature that finds itself in our care. Animals are referred to us by veterinarians, animal control, and for the most part they come from caring citizens. We are a non profit organization, funded solely by the generosity of individuals, like yourself. We could not be more grateful to those who help support our work and allow us to continue saving animals.
